It can be a struggle, no doubt. IT is generally concnrened about managing disparate assets and systems and the work and costs associated with such. Oddly, these same IT views arent usually reflected in acquisition of Intelligent white boards and similar technologes since they consider that educational or educational technology. We have some clients that have had success by focusing on the educational impact of tablets (charter being to educate for matriculation or prepare for todays working world) and leveraging what a tablet does for both educational pedagogy and increased student assimilation. Invariably, an on campus or school pilot is usually used to make the benefits known and obvious to help build support or at least nullify the $150 per tablet difference over notebooks.
